Dear Parents,

We are coming up on our last 2 weeks of the summer swim. How did we get here so fast? It has been such a wonderful season of meeting new families and watching your swimmers grow. The Board and I are very grateful for the dedication of our coaching staff and our volunteer CIT's. With the end of season comes a flury of dates and activities. We attempt to capture this in our calendar on the website and through our amazing social media, handled by Kelly Smither. Please do not miss out on an opportunity - you can print both this email and the attachment to help. 

Announcements and Reminders

1. There is NO practice on Friday, July 4th  - enjoy your holiday!
2. Hanover Aquatics, a USA swim club, will be on deck with our 8 and unders tonight to assist with breaststroke technique.
3. SENIORS - look out for an email tomorrow for some things needed for Senior Night at our final meet. Dave Trace Memorial Scholarship applications are due July 3rd. 
4. The Mark DeBruhl Spirit of Youth Volunteerism Award is now OPEN for nominations. Families, please reach the attached award information and nominate a youth volunteer on the team. Deadline is 7/10.
5. Our Junior Team has their LAST PRACTICE on Monday, July 7th. 
6. Our LAST REGULAR practice is TUESDAY MORNING, July 8th due to our last meet being on Tuesday, July 8th. 
7. Champs practices begin on July 10th from 7:45-8:45am. See your Champs emails for more details.
8. We will record our ANNUAL CHAMPS VIDEO (open to every member of the team to participate  - incl. JT) on Wednesday, July 9th at 8:30am. The video is shown on our social media and is for Champs submission. The theme is "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" from Lilo and Stitch. A separate communication will go out for any directives. This is such a FUN time. 
9. Our End of Season Awards celebration is for the ENTIRE TEAM. It is on Thursday, July 17th from 6:30-8pm. Every swimmer is recognized. This is followed by our private Splash Night. 8-9pm for 10 and unders and 9-10pm for 11 and up. Splash Night is for our swimmers and parents. Due to insurance regulations, we cannot have siblings or guests in the pool. 
10. Last, but certainly not least, we will have two OPEN board positions for the swim team that we must fill by our end of season party. Those positions are PRESIDENT and TREASURER. Mine and Mike Hill's terms are complete for these roles, and it is time to pass the baton. We are now accepting nominations. Please email [email protected] by 7/15 to nominate with the person's name, email, number, and a brief description of qualifications. Mike and I would also be very happy to answer questions while on deck these next couple of weeks. Your time is a treasure for the team, and it has been my distinct honor to serve this team as President the last two years.
